Marianne Rivett

With more than 20 years’ legal experience in the insurance industry in Australia and the UK, Marianne has a strong track record of working with professionals, directors, officers and their insurers to defend litigated and non-litigated claims.  She also advises on policy coverage issues and contract interpretation.

Marianne’s experience includes managing high value legally and technically complex claims as well as more straightforward matters. A considerable part of her practice is focused on professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’ liability and management liability claims. She has acted in defending claims against financial advisers, insurance brokers, accountants, engineers, solicitors, valuers and real estate agents amongst other professions. She has also acted for directors and officers of various corporations including building technology and mining companies.

Marianne is also particularly experienced in managing property damage liability claims, first party losses, and subrogated recoveries.
