We all know a dental practitioner owes a duty of care to the patient, but what is the scope of that duty, and what happens if it is breached? Marianne will walk the audience through a typical dental negligence case with reference to real-life examples of ‘wins’ and ‘losses’. The elements of duty, breach, causation, and damage will be discussed with an emphasis on tips to avoid being sued in the first place.
