Marcus has extensive experience across most lines of insurance and commercial litigation. His practice has a strong focus on defending professional indemnity and D&O claims. He has acted for Australian and London market insurers on complex and challenging claims and provided advice on difficult coverage issues. He also provides advice to underwriting agencies and brokers. His track record includes the successful resolution of significant professional indemnity and financial lines litigation including several class actions.
He has acted on behalf of a broad range of professionals, particularly those involved in the financial services sector and he has acted in claims involving regulatory investigations. In recent years, his practice has also included defending significant claims in the construction industry, including multiple claims arising from the use of combustible cladding. In addition to his financial lines practice, Marcus also acts in general liability and product liability claims.
