Paul is an insurance litigation specialist with more than 25 years’ experience advising on all types of insurance. Paul specialises in insurance claims resolution with an emphasis on public and products liability, professional indemnity, property damage, industrial special risk and contract works.
Paul also has extensive litigation experience bringing recovery actions on behalf of insurers. Paul’s recoveries include complex commercial matters, fire, flood as well as high volume domestic and motor claims. He has expertise in claims relating to catastrophic losses arising from fire, storm and flood damage.
He advises all sectors of the economy on claims involving major infrastructure, mining, commercial and domestic construction, marine, transport, retailers, hospitality, health, manufacturers, agriculture and Government.
Clients regularly seek Paul’s advice on policy wordings and coverage disputes. His policy advice includes fraud and fidelity claims, arson, non-disclosure, misrepresentation, subrogation, dual insurance and good faith.
He has appeared before NCAT, the Local, District, Supreme and Federal Courts, the Court of Appeal and the High Court of Australia.
