Related Experience

  • Acting for a GP in disciplinary proceedings brought by the Medical Board of Australia. It was alleged that the GP failed to disclose her pecuniary interest in vitamin supplements and was therefore acting in conflict of interest.
  • Defending a large public hospital in claims involving a number of deaths resulting from alleged hospital borne infectious diseases and which raised issues as to design, specification and architecture of the hospital structures.
  • Assisting a doctor with her participation in an investigation and response to a claim that she had bullied a junior staff member.
  • Defending a clinical neurophysiologist in a NSW Supreme Court claim for damages arising from a failed spinal correction surgery.
  • Acting for a medical practitioner, with a practice focused on alternative therapies, who was the subject of multiple complaints by patients to the Medical Council of NSW, and was facing a Section 150 “Immediate Action” hearing.
  • Acting for a medical practitioner in the sale of a medical practice.
